This notice covers the studio website at valuxgames.com and valuxgaming.com. Civic Watch and Mecca Gecko have their own privacy notices on their own sites.

What this site collects

The studio site has no accounts, no shopping cart, no newsletter and no forms, and it does not show ads. We don’t ask you for personal information. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read.

Google Analytics

Each page loads Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, from googletagmanager.com. It sets first-party cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_8QK7CXD707, so that repeat visits can be counted. By default these cookies last up to two years.

Google Analytics records things like the pages you view, the site or link that brought you here, how long you stay, the links and buttons you use, and your device type, browser, operating system, screen size and language. Google uses your IP address to estimate your general location, such as your country or city. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

We see this information as aggregated reports. We use it to improve the site and to learn which games people are interested in. We don’t use it to identify individual visitors. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for the retention period set in our account (two or fourteen months) and then deletes it.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a tracker blocker, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The site works the same with analytics blocked.

Hosting

Fonts, images and videos load from this site itself, not from other services. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. When your browser requests a page, GitHub receives that request as the host and may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP address, time, and the page requested. Their practices are described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

Links to games, stores, and support

Links to civicwatchgame.com, meccagecko.com, Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s TestFlight leave this site. Those services, and the games themselves, collect information under their own terms. Purchases on the App Store are processed by Apple.
